Welcome To The IOSAS Centre

What is the IOSAS Centre?

The IOSAS Centre is comprised of a number of facilities and services including several conference venues, an organic farm shop uniquely supplied from our certified organic farm, a modern café, and the Celtic Prayer Garden and Visitor Centre.

The Iosas Centre is one of the projects of the Columba Community working in collaboration with Columba House Derry, St Anthony’s Retreat Centre, and White Oaks Rehabilitation Centre Donegal.

The Columba Community of Prayer and Reconciliation

Established in 1981 under the direction of Fr Neal Carlin, the work of this Basic Christian Community is Prayer, Christian Teaching, Counsel, Reconciliation and Healing. In their 40 year history they have worked with prisoners, community groups from both sides of the political divide in the North of Ireland, people addicted to alcohol and drugs and more recently young people.

They continue to address the legacy of the Troubles by providing outreach centres and encouraging people to dialogue and participate in programmes that build capacity and empowerment, thus enabling individuals to move on with their lives.

The Community was formally approved by Bishop of Derry Seamus Hegarty as a Private Association of the Faithful on 31st August 1995.

The Community’s other centres include Columba House in Derry, St Anthony’s Retreat Centre as well as White Oaks Rehabilitation Centre
